Meet
Damian Zabielski 👋
Born in Krakow, Poland and raised in Tottenham, North London. I've always been a very active child, getting involved in all sorts of clubs and extracurricular activities (Sports, Debate Mate, Drama Productions, Science Fairs, Public Speaking, Business, etc). But, my energy and talkative nature sometimes got me into trouble.
At the age of 16, after balancing competitive sports, GCSE's and life, I experienced 2 panic attacks as I was finishing secondary school. They triggered childhood trauma and forced my life to stop for the next 2 years. During that time, I worked with professional help to overcome anxiety, depression and find my feet again.
As I began rebuilding my confidence, I trialled several post-18 options (Gap Year, Volunteering, Internships, Apprenticeship, University, Work) and got heavily involved in working with young people. I discovered a love for helping young people find their voices.
My life's work now focuses on empowering young people to be the best versions of themselves. I do this by creating educational content, designing & delivering talks, workshops and programmes, connecting young people with opportunties, shaping research and policies and coaching.
"Young people are the future of our society and we should actively involve them in shaping our society today."

Simon Rodgers, People Director at One Young World
Just wanted to thank you so much for the session earlier. It really was fascinating and a thoroughly enjoyable discussion. A few people have messaged me privately so say how much they enjoyed it; so a resounding success!

Violence Reduction Unit
Damian is one in a million!
He is one of the single most passionate and dedicated youth practitioners I have ever met.
Angélica Huffstot, Global Head of Partnerships at One Young World
It is so important to continue these conversations (mental wellbeing) and we greatly appreciated you sharing your experiences with us and giving the OYW Team advice with the utmost clarity, passion, and openness. We were very lucky to have you!
Philippa Latham, Teacher at Stretford High School
Just wanted to say thank you again for your talk with our students. Feedback was that it was interesting, something a bit different (I think the meditation at the end) and really relevant.
A lot of the students could not believe what you have achieved at such a young age.
Very inspiring, thank you!
